Challenge students are required to demonstrate all skill performances and complete the same final written exam and the practical scenario evaluation as the OEC Full course students. This 40-hour condensed program, with certification issued by the National Ski Patrol (NSP), provides participants with the opportunity to review their first aid skills for application in the outdoor environment. The course is designed for individuals who have already had an 80-hour first aid course and hold current certification. The course schedule and cost includes a CPR Health Care Provider 'HCP' recert and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) certifcation. Upon successful completion of the exam the candidate will receive the Outdoor Emergency Care technician certification, a CPR 'HCP' ticket, and an AED certificate. Please refer to the OEC course description for more details on the AED course description and our course guarantee.
